My Special Treasures: Old Furniture Pieces at Schusterhäusl

I have always loved beautiful fabrics and old furniture pieces. And as a girl, I also loved the now colorful sofa in apartment "MAX". Back then, it stood with a Biedermeier striped fabric in our cozy family living room. Today, it shines in a new "dress" and with new upholstery. I gradually found the matching chairs distributed in different rooms throughout the house. The sofa pictured above was also present in the house and was redesigned by me. Now it stands in my bedroom at Schusterhäusl. All old furniture pieces were covered with ancient, worn-out fabrics at that time. My pain of separation was far too great, so I decided to turn "old" into "new" and gladly took on the costs of refurbishment. Modern sofas are undoubtedly the "more cost-effective option," but "my" sofas are something very SPECIAL.

The washbasins made from chests of drawers arose out of necessity. The bathrooms were, of course, meant to be modern. Absolutely up to today's standards, yet the bathrooms should feel "homely." Solnhofen slabs from Bavaria, naturally! I couldn't find any washbasins on the market that were suitable for Schusterhäusl. So, I had the idea to have the chests of drawers in the house converted. In close cooperation with my "house carpenter" and my installer, who visibly accomplished "great things" in the house, these wonderful unique pieces of old furniture were created, which now allow the style of Schusterhäusl to shine even in the bathrooms.
